Why is criticism of past and present work important? For example, why should people care about Shakespeare in modern times? You know what I'm talking about? Teachers and professors always assign papers about someone of the past and how their work connects to social situations/the furutre/the present/etc? Hopefully I'm making sense. I'm just wanna know why its important?
